Creating efficiency
to minimize the impact.

ROYOTEC aims to develop and lead with strategies in collaboration with our partners and stakeholders in order to guarantee a cohesive, sustainable growth model for our production processes.
As such, we have adopted an unwavering commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)and we have aligned our CSR strategy with the 2030 Agenda, setting tangible targets to reach our objective.
In this way, Royotec is committed to ensuring respect towards Sustainability in Environmental and Human Rights policies throughout the value chain.

Royotec´s 10 Sustainable principles
Royotec

Less is more

We minimise the use of raw materials, both in type and quantity. This optimisation promotes a responsible and efficient use of resources. We carefully select our raw materials and their origin, decreasing the need to recycle and favouring the protection of biodiversity.

Zero waste

Zero waste

Our processes are industrially designed to diminish waste. We reuse all of the raw materials and by-products involved in our production process, as we aim for a circular system in our product’s life cycle management.

Traceability

Reliability of origin and processes.
We are working with Tailorlux to implement our innovative tracing tech system (IntegriTex) which ensures the reliability of all our products’ origins, as well as all the processes these products have undergone: from receiving the raw material until the order is delivered to the customer, allowing them to practice supply chain oversight.

Reduction of the CO2 footprint

We minimize the use of raw materials, in number and quantity. We promote the responsible and efficient use of resources through a city selection of raw materials and their origin, thus favoring the protection of biodiversity.

Clean waters for new trees:
Create Life

Our biological treatment plant processes wastewater and ensures that it’s clean when it’s reinserted into the system. The system separates water from waste, which is first removed by aerobic microorganisms such as algae, fungi, and bacteria. Other suspended bio-solids sink to the bottom as sediment. After sludge dewatering, these bio-solids become fertilisers for agriculture and gardening.

Dry dyeing to reduce
our water footprint

We invest in sustainable innovation to minimise our impact on the planet.
We have managed to reduce the use of water in our dyeing processes by applying foam, and have cut down on how long the product is processed and the number of machines used. This allows us to conserve not only wastewater, but also chemicals and energy in our production practices.

Microplastics
Phasedown

We address plastic pollution by designing products and processes that cut back on the number of microplastics discharged into the water and land. Armalith® technology ensures that our products are made with continuous filament instead of small, short fibres, thereby drastically reducing the degradation of these small fibres into even smaller bits (microplastics) and preventing them from filtering into aquatic and terrestrial environments.

Durability fosters
responsible consumption

We guarantee the quality and durability of garments made with Armalith® fabric. Our fabric withstands the vast majority of chemicals, UV rays, and even more than 1000 washes without altering their resistance properties, thereby retaining the protection level they provide to the end consumer.

Quality control
systems

The customer is king. We always focus on improving processes and delivering quality products that stand out above the rest to achieve customer satisfaction.
Our total quality management system verifies that energy inefficiencies and material waste are minimised at each step of the production process, optimizing our use of resources and reducing our CO2 footprint.

Cogeneration energy system

Create Energy

At Royotec, we use the steam emissions from our machinery to create energy. Our cogeneration system involves two useful outputs instead of just one: power & heat. This simultaneous production of two forms of energy from a single source assures efficiency in energy use and helps reduce greenhouse gases (GHG).
